About Finasteride
Finasteride is an oral medication, taken once daily, that is FDA-approved to treat male pattern hair loss. It works by blocking the enzyme that converts testosterone into DHT—the hormone that shrinks scalp hair follicles—thereby lowering DHT levels and protecting follicles from further miniaturization.
